Services to Youth (STY) Facet led our implementation of STEAM umbrella programming. In collaboration with Minnieville Elementary School, (located in Prince William County, VA), our transformational programming responds to the academic, health, cultural, social awareness, and career development needs of student participants in its NSBE Jr. chapter. STY has established a monthly NSBE Jr. weekend academy to implement programming with 100% participation among all facets. Aligned with the mission of The Links, Incorporated, our programming is designed to close the achievement gap through exposure to STEAM based initiatives. We also integrate health and wellness into programming components and promote and support HBCUs for ensured sustainability.
