About Us

The Links, Incorporated founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.   Members of the Old Dominion (VA) Chapter have upheld this tradition of friendship and service in Prince William County, Virginia for over nineteen years.

The outstanding programming of The Links, Incorporated has five facets which include National Trends and Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services. Old Dominion (VA) Chapter programs have been developed to encourage and improve literacy of Prince William County elementary, middle and high school youth through the arts; create awareness and educate families about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle; provide opportunities for elementary and middle school students to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); award college scholarships to outstanding youth; provide and support college tours for elementary and middle school students; provide holiday parties, toys and meals for disenfranchised Prince William families; provide financial assistance for schools in Liberia and personal hygiene gifts, food, and water for communities in Liberia and Haiti.

The Old Dominion (VA) Chapter has a record of award winning service since its chartering in 1993.  We are very grateful for the continued support of individuals, organizations, and corporations who have partnered with us through the years. You allow us to provide programs and services for local, area, national and international initiatives that have a positive impact and enrich the lives of all we serve.
